The Avacado that never got ripe

I don't remember it ever taking so much time to mature. I've had this one for over a week and it's still very hard. I had to really work with a spoon to extract the meat and don't think I can mash it for guacamole. Decided to give it the juice of two limes, cover it and wait a little longer.

All kinds of info on the Internet on how to ripen an avocado but I didn't think it was necessary because it looked so healthy. Paper bag (where do you find one) and put it in a dark place. Maybe next time but hope there is not a next time. Now I'm hungry :}

The Orange Squeeze

That's the way to make orange juice. Found an inexpensive large bag of oranges and put my 150 pesos "extractor" to work. Few parts, easy to clean and works perfectly.   Generally oranges are not that cheap here and I don't think many are grown in this area.

Jugo de Naranja

The construction of the house finished in April 2011 and I'm pretty much settled in. As of March 2014 I'm in preparation for rain mode for this coming summer. That includes sealing and painting things and dealing with drainage issues from last year.
