The construction of the house finished in April 2011 and I'm pretty much settled in. As of March 2014 I'm in preparation for rain mode for this coming summer. That includes sealing and painting things and dealing with drainage issues from last year.

I have imagined the Shiftless Escape in a similar position. So far, God has smiled on me.
I am glad you said it (with picture)! I totally do not get the Mexican 'parking mentality'. You and I KNOW that truck could have (SHOULD have) been moved over to the side - but they just do not do this - WHAT is up with this?
At least this was on a quiet side road to the beach .... not highway 200
