Coyota is her name, given by one of my workers. She wandered in one day and decided to stay. Lots of energy and became a protection barker within a few days.
Things went downhill with the Spay and Neuter Clinic in La Manzanilla and she's never been the same. They have to knock them out for the operation, then the operation was a bit difficult with her, then Rabies shots and antibiotics and then anti-stomach worm shots.
Kind of the end of the story is she had two infections in her back legs an after 4 days of more antibiotics with the local vet, she has one leg not working. She seems healthy and happy .... but will not eat dry dog food but loves the cats food. Canned dog food is OK but Whiskers (wiskas) is the favorite.
So Wiskas it is ... much cheaper than canned food and the various bags of dog food she won't eat

We hear that cat food is not good for dogs for any more than an occasional snack. Different nutrient set ??
Friend gave me something they get at Walmart and it's the first dry food she's eaten. Now for the Walmart trip unless Bodega has it.
Our dog, that is really our neighbor's but we love her and feed her, loves whiskas. It's her preferred food, next to hot dogs of course. I hope your dog starts turning the corner...did you mention to Julie that there was a problem after the clinic? I think she'd like to know.
Yes I've exchanged a number of emails with Julie and she knows that I was going to Beto for an extra set of antibiotic shots. One leg has improved since then but still one dragging. I may email Julie again and see if she has other ideas.
Going to Manzanillo tomorrow for another thing and will stop by Walmart. Purina Beneful is the stuff she likes
how is she doing now? she is a beauty! hopefully both legs are working well by now.

Coyota is perfect and the fattest dog in the neighborhood. Lots of energy. Besides the fact that she was a street dog at one time and will never recover .... she is a geat dog
