What's with the Rain

It's rained all day today and hard at times. The Chapala weather station say a little over a 1/4 inch but we've had more in Jocotepec. It's been overcast for almost a week with occasional showers ... and now it's January.

It's been raining more on the coast and friends are telling me my property in Melaque is becoming overgrown again and needs mowing. Mexicans there say this means a very wet coming summer. What do the weather gurus have to say?

Rain in January is plain depressing! It hasn't stopped raining all day. But I hope the locals are right, we sure could use a wet summer.

Glad to see the LinkWithin gadget is working.

Yep ... I'm staying home watching movies.

I didn't realize there was a button for LinkWithin install. Never pressed it - didn't see it

Family gal that you are .. you still have an invite to Joco. I have a big house and Trailrunner would like to meet you

It always rains a lot over here on the east side of Mexico - but we like it. Keeps the tropical style happening - however this is usually not an all day thing or more precisely two or three days continuing.

But, coming from Colorado where we had to stay inside to keep from freezing to death for several months every year - this is heaven ;-)

The construction of the house finished in April 2011 and I'm pretty much settled in. As of March 2014 I'm in preparation for rain mode for this coming summer. That includes sealing and painting things and dealing with drainage issues from last year.
