San Miguel on the horizon?

Sad to announce there is a thief in the family that got away with a significant amount of money that was here to pay for materials and labor on the house. In the family because they used keys, disrupted nothing else ... only going for the money.

Going to take some time to reevaluate the relationship and generally get past the emotions of this. We will finish up the septic tank which was just a hole and would collapse in the rain .... and then pack it in for awhile.

So after emailing Ron in San Miguel, who knows the family, he suggested a getaway. They have an unused room and I've never been to that part of Mexico. Sounds like a great idea and may have fotos and notes from there in a few weeks. Life goes on !!

Sparks - so sorry to read about the theft.

While I read your Blog regularly (although you are not a prolific Blogger), I am not sure who your family is?

I know of your friend Ron. I know you are building - but the last clear picture or things was when you rented a place and then took on your friend Barbara's place (that I think you wanted in the first place).

I guess what I am saying is I am a bit confused about your building project - and family members that would steal?

I guess I could go back and start reading from the beginning - but then maybe you can help me out.

In any case totally bummed for you for such an inside job.

You should have some fun and photos in SMA.

Saludos Hombre

Hey Calypso .... partly why I'm not prolific here is I have too many Blogs as you can see from my sidebar (ulterior motive).

I've been documenting the building project on another blog below ..
http://casa-pinal-villa.blogspot.com/

The family is local Mexican (very large) that I met over three years ago. Have lived with them, helped mostly the kids ... and Sunday outings to the beach. Now they/she are/is my neighbors and presta nombre.

Two adjoining lots with houses eventually for each of us. That's basically it

Sorry to hear about the setback. Look forward to meeting you.

The construction of the house finished in April 2011 and I'm pretty much settled in. As of March 2014 I'm in preparation for rain mode for this coming summer. That includes sealing and painting things and dealing with drainage issues from last year.
